It can move as many squares as the players want either vertical, horizontal and diagonal. That is to say her value is a Rook + 2 bishops (black and white diagonals).
It is so powerful
that should be moved cautiously. Think that your opponent has another Queen. For instance a queen sacrifice is the deliberate sacrifice of a queen in order to gain a more favorable tactical position. So WATCH OUT when your opponent offers his/her Queen easily.
The value of this piece in competition can be 9/10 points, and when a Pawn promotes it can become a Knight, a bishop, a rook or specially a Queen.
